Dave Walsh RRT LRCP
Dave Walsh is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and a licensed Respiratory
Care Practitioner (LRCP) in Illinois. He has over forty-five years of experience
in the field of Respiratory Care with the last thirty years spent concentrating in
sleep disordered breathing. After building a comprehensive sleep disorders center
in the early ‘80s, Dave established the first hospital based compact multiphysiologic
recording program for the diagnosis and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome
(OSAS) at a community hospital in Chicago. He has had the opportunity over the years
to travel across the country and train fellow heath care practitioners in the provision,
scoring and analysis of home sleep testing. In addition to his lectures at state, national
and international professional meetings, Dave has published articles on the subject of
sleep apnea diagnostics and has been interviewed for several health care industry magazines.
In 2003, Dave established an Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility (IDTF) in Chicago,
contracting with HMO carriers in northern IL in addition to providing sleep testing services
to Medicare and PPO patients.
